Fighters are said to have set fire to houses in Dille village in the Local Government Area, which was targeted over the weekend.


The attackers invaded the village around 5:30 p.m., according to a source.


He claimed they looted numerous stores and carted away food, as well as torching the homes from which they stole.


As of the time of reporting this article, no details on the casualties had been released.


The tragedy occurred 48 hours after forces and militants engaged in a fierce combat in Askira Uba.


The weekend attacks killed Brig-Gen Dzarma Zirkusu and a few soldiers, but the army reacted by murdering 50 terrorist commanders, according to reports.


In a statement, the Nigerian Army’s spokesman, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, explained that troops from the 115 Task Force Battalion conducted dawn raids on Leho village and its environs.


He noted that troops also discovered corpses of the fleeing terrorists and also recovered 2,560 rounds of 7.62mm Special and 29 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition abandoned by the terrorists
